Listen Up Español Adds Six to Growing Business in Portland, Maine

  
  
  

PORTLAND, ME – April 24, 2009 – Listen Up Espaňol, the U.S. Hispanic call center specializing in Direct Response Television (DRTV) campaigns, recently announced six new hires at its offices in Portland, Maine.

“I’m pleased to announce these talented new additions to our team,” said Tony Ricciardi, President of Listen Up Espaňol. “With the company’s recent site expansion in Mexico and influx of new business, these six will provide us with invaluable support in a very exciting and busy time.”

This core group of six new hires will be essential in the management of clients, accounts and services at Listen Up Espaňol in coming months:

Sage Okamoto, Director of Client Services
Sage Okamoto, 27, will manage all tasks and projects for Listen Up Espaňol’s Account Managers as well as oversee the company’s global accounts. A native Mainer, Okamoto is a business owner and founder who arrives at Listen Up Espaňol with solid account management experience. She views her new position as a unique opportunity to work with marketing and strategizing in the growing Hispanic market.

Cory Brennan, Account Manager
Cory Brennan, 25, of Saco, Maine, will be involved on a day-to-day basis with script writing and analysis and the set-up of new campaigns. With experience in retail and Direct Response sales, he will help to ensure everyday high quality launches of new campaigns and continued success through advanced sales techniques.

Elana Charlton, Account Manager
Elana Charlton, 23, arrives at Listen Up Espaňol with a background in account management and marketing research. Attracted to the company’s mission and welcoming work environment, Charlton will manage campaign activity, ensuring customer and client satisfaction every step of the way. A graduate of the International Christian University-Kiev/Vienna with a degree in marketing, Charlton is eager to expand her knowledge to that of the Hispanic Direct Response realm.

Dan Kaswell, Account Manager
Dan Kaswell, 43, will oversee client product campaigns. A Maryland native, Dan has substantial experience in account management and comes to Listen Up Espaňol with an M.A. in Spanish from New York University. He views his new partnership with the company as a prime opportunity to make use of his Spanish fluency and work with the company’s Latin American colleagues.

Amy Roden, Senior Account Manager
Amy Roden, 26, of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, will serve as a liaison between Listen Up Espaňol’s management team in Hermosillo, Mexico, and the company’s clients seeking to expand and succeed in the Hispanic Direct Response market. Echoing the sentiments of all the new hires, Roden noted that her goal will ultimately be to “remain a focused, proactive problem solver in the company.”

Velma McConnell, Account Manager
Listen Up Espaňol also welcomes Velma McConnell, 36, to its team. Maine native McConnell will be working to facilitate client communication and ensure successful campaigns at Listen Up Espaňol, praising the company’s excellent opportunities for growth and development.

McConnell said, “Not only do I feel myself to be a welcomed, valuable member on the staff, but I view my employment here as a long-term partnership with plenty of room to thrive.
